Bad enough to consider other brand alternatives. All Lenovo drivers are current, we updated the firmware and drivers for the dock. With that we still have the following problems and dont know how to resolve them 1.
The network connectivity from the dock to laptop with USB-C loses connectivity on occasion. Also when the user shuts off the laptop, comes back and turns the laptop on, no network connectivity is re-established. The only way to fix this is to unplug the USB-C cable and plug it back in. Sometimes that will lock up windows and we have to do a hard shut down and start of the laptop.
Running the display out from the dock is not always reliable. The monitor will turn off randomly. To bypass this issue we have to just plug the monitor directly into the laptop. This error is related to bad drivers. Are we missing something. Is there anything we have to set in the BIOS to resolve these problems? I've been reading up on this dock and a lot of people are having problems with this dock and carbon 6th gen laptops.
Similar problems here. Everything worked fine up until I updated my bios to 1. After that, the dock stopped working properly. Screens randomly shut off under load. I suspect it's the main culprit for the constant fan noise. Seems like problem solve for the moment? I restarted my computer and from then on , the No Audio Output Device is Installed problem has continued to persist. Pressing my mic mute button does not work as well. I contacted the Lenovo Support Team and the onsite engineer had to come down quite a few times and still we are unable to solve the issue. We changed the motherboard, did a reformat of the computer, replaced the sound card and ultimately the speakers.
However, this problem still persists and the engineer has not encountered such a problem before as well. I tried many times to uninstall the sound driver from the device manager and reinstall it again but the problem still persists. I'm at my wit's end regarding this issue. Not sure if this helps but I was able to connect to my bluetooth speaker and the sound was projected from the bluetooth speaker.
It would be great if someone solved this issue:. Nope, My PC is still not fixed. Even after swapping out the speakers, the problem persist. What's worse is that the computer detect that the speakers are not plugged in even though it has been.
The engineer who came down several times to help me fix this problem is also out of options. He said that he will try to get his hands on something which can let him replace the different parts individually to see what is the problem.
But after so many attempts, I don't have much hope already. For now, I have to connect to a bluetooth speaker to have audio. My inbuilt mic does not work as well even though the speaker and the mic are wired at different positions:. Hi- did you find a solution to this?
